I have a (glue) gun & I will USE it!

Ah, crafts.
I just love em'! I used to be a beast with my trusty old glue gun. Even the scorching hot glue that would occasionally drip onto my fingers became just a part of the game. It stops hurting when you have literally burnt the first layer of skin off from so many crafts.

For lack of space & time, crafts have been more absent than I would like in my life. I probably use to be able to glue gun the rims on a car, or the siding on a house- but those days are long gone. I have retired my 'gluegun' crown and taken on the new season of life...motherhood.  That does Not come with a crown, but rather a more respectable glow, such as crusty boogers stuck to your clothes and sticky sucker remnants in your hair. Although, I personally think hot gluing hair pieces into my daughters hair MIGHT keep them from losing them...but, that might be punishable in the Court of Law ;)

Today I made hair bows with  'ol trusty ( glue gun) and as I picked up that mini guy and started gluing away, I felt I could tackle any distress in our house!

Tooth loose? Hot glue!
Whinie mouth...hot glue;)
Broken chair leg...hot glue!
Hang up a picture....eh, why not! Lets glue it to the wall!

As this odd sense of empowerment wielded over me ( I know you're thinking it...odd...yes! I know!)  and I became e a Hot Gluein' momma, I thought about God's word in Ephesians and how we are too put on the full armour of God.

How powerful would I feel if I yielded my Belt of Truth buckled around my waist & my breast plate of righteousness? If my feet where fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace? If I took up my shield of faith the extinguish the fiery arrows of the evil one? And to top it off with my helmet of salvation ( Awesome that God made a helmet for that!) and my sword of the spirit, which is his word!

I'm thinking in comparison, my glue gun looks W i M pY !!

What makes you feel powerful? Baking? PTA? Shopping? Cleaning ( I wish!) ? Organizing? Alcohol? Drugs? Sex? Food?

Try Ephesians 6:10-17 on for a little empowerment & see just how fast you get ready to rock this world for Jesus!
